Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Short version: Birthday details are created in your browser and placed after the # in the link. They are not stored in a Midnight Wish user database.
Birthday messages and shared links
The recipient name, sender name, reveal time, messages, gift choices and theme are encoded in the URL fragment on your device. Browsers do not normally send that fragment to the web server when loading a page. Anyone who receives the complete link can decode and view its contents, so do not include secrets, sensitive personal information or anything you would not want the recipient to keep or forward.
Downloaded and shared images
Birthday post and memory images are drawn in your browser. When you download one, it is saved through your browser. If you choose a social-sharing option, the selected social platform may receive the image, caption or link according to that platform’s own privacy policy.
Website request data
Our hosting provider may process routine request data needed to deliver and secure the site, including an IP address, browser information, requested path, date and diagnostic logs. The URL fragment containing the birthday details is not part of the normal HTTP request.
Cookies and analytics
Midnight Wish does not currently set analytics, advertising or account cookies. See the Cookie Policy for the current details.
Children’s privacy
The service is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect account information from children. Adults supervising a child should avoid placing private information in a shared wish link.
Changes
We will update this page when the product or its data practices materially change. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.
